6 Month Loc Update

Hello my loc friends!
It’s officially been six months since I restarted my locs. I get so many questions on what they actually are. They don’t look like locs yet, but they don’t look like two strand twists anymore either. Half of each loc is curly from midway down to the ends. It’s different, but I am enjoying them. The only maintenance and upkeep I’ve been doing is cleaning my scalp with Witch Hazel and using an oil mixture with an essential oil. I’ve been choosing to use Jojoba oil and lavender essential oil for now-I will probably switch it up after my next wash. On days my hair seems dry I spritz rose water on it then massage a palm full of Jojoba oil throughout them from the roots to the ends.
I believe that I am doing a better job this go round at keeping my locs and scalp moisturized and they seem to be flourishing quite nicely. My next interlock appointment will be in early September. After that I think my hair will be strong enough to start palm rolling. I will be sure to post lots of pictures. I’m so ready to start styling! Until then, here are a few pictures since I’ve gotten them interlocked.
